1. The Vibrant Culture of Poetry 
Poetry is a distinctive part of the history of Afghanistan. For more than 1000 years, Afghans have shared their experiences in poetry. Thursday night is considered the 'poetry night' in western Herat where men, women and kids meet to communicate prehistoric & new poetry and listen to Herati's traditional music and enjoy sweet tea and cakes throughout the night.
